Scouting for Food

November 1-8, 2008

It's that time again!

Like our Cub Scout motto says: "HELP OTHER PEOPLE." Your Pack 727 and the Boy Scouts of America plan to do just that!

Beginning on Nov. 1 Scouts can go door to door distributing the "Scouting for Food" bags to their neighbors and friends. In these bags our Pack will be collecting canned and boxed food items for distribution to the needy. The bags can either be left at your neighbors' homes with the stipulation that you will return to pick them up at a certain time or, you can ask that the donations be made while you wait.

All donations collected are to be dropped off at the home of Jim Clements, 9 La Sinfonia in RSM between 9:00 and 11:00 am on Saturday, Nov. 8.
If you are unable to drop off your collected food items at this time, please get with another parent of your can drop your items off at the Albertson's at Olympiad and Alicia between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm that same day.

Please remember: NO GLASS JARS OR BOTTLES! All boys who participate will get the coveted Scouting For Food patch to add to your collection! Your help is greatly appreciated for this most worthy service project and event. If you have any questions, please email me at wsurch@cox. net or call 589-5503.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
